Since 2014, Tim has supported a variety of not-for-profit clients with fractional FD support or other forms of flexible working. These are mostly smaller organisations with incomes ranging from start-up to £40m.

Tim particularly enjoys helping charities achieve impact through growth and has had success in implementing financial strategies and scaling up finance functions to support sustainable reserves and cash flow. On the flip side, Tim also has experience with turnaround and crisis work, such as improving financial controls & performance for projects under funder supervision and responding to regulatory intervention.

Before 2014, Tim benefitted from holding senior finance roles in the commercial sector and brings this experience to his current client base. His skills include:

• Setting up finance systems and teams to provide effective FP&A
• Improving working capital at both source terms and tight ledger management
• Accurate costing and pricing for new proposals
• Working with Boards & Committees to advance financial governance
• Implementing effective internal financial controls, policies and procedures

Tim is a qualified Chartered Management Accountant (designate FCMA) and holds a master’s degree in strategic business management with distinction.
